David Jones is set to welcome 25 new brands to its portfolio in time for the autumn-winter 22 season.

Khaite, Halston, Tom Ford, Rohe, aim’n, Marc Jacobs, Maison Essentiele, L’Idee, Agent Provocateur and Melbourne brand Clea are among those joining the portfolio.

"I am thrilled to see a hand-picked curation of luxury styles from across the globe make their debut on the runway and into David Jones this season," David Jones GM of womenswear and accessories Bridget Veals said.

The news comes as David Jones unveils its annual campaign, Wonderworld, celebrating the wonders of the world and travelling.

Following two years of COVID restrictions and limited travel, David Jones has tapped into Aussies' desire to travel with the new campaign.

The new messaging brings Charles Lloyd Jones’ - the grandson of David Jones - vision of bringing the best of the globe to Australia, to life.

David Jones chief marketing officer James Holloman said the business is excited to showcase the campaign to customers.

"David Jones has long celebrated the beauty the world has to offer, bringing treasures and trends home to share with our discerning Australian customers.

"We look forward to welcoming our customers back in store and online to explore the David Jones ‘Wonderworld’ campaign and take the journey with us to rediscover all the world has to offer," he said.

Photographed by Nicole Bentley, the Wonderworld campaign features Australian models Charlee Fraser and Nathan McGuire.

The season will then be brought to life at PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival, when the Gala Runway presented by David Jones gets underway at the Queen Victoria Market.

In addition to the runway appearances, the Wonderworld campaign will be further brought to life in David Jones stores nationally.

The flagship Elizabeth St store will debut the Wonderworld Gallery on level eight in a nod to the former art gallery that was housed in the store.

The Wonderworld Gallery reimagines the historical David Jones executive suites to create a unique experience that transports customers on an adventure around the globe.

The Gallery will feature a large landscape photo exhibition by Australian fine art photographer Kate Ballis alongside a departure lounge-inspired bar.

The space will also host salon shows from key brands including Greg Natale, Narciso Rodriguez, Bendon Lingerie, Dyson, and Maticevski.

Each show will be scheduled from early March through to May.
