The countdown is over - department store David Jones has launched its online store.

davidjones.com.au now offers consumers more than 950 Australian and international brands.

There will be more than 90,000 individual SKUs by Christmas, spanning fashion, accessories, cosmetics, home, food, gift cards, hampers and wine and more.

The mobile-optimised shopping site features an intergrated blog and shoppable David Jones magazine iPad app.

Fashion brands include Akira, Alex Perry, Zanerobe, Zimmermann, Armani Collezioni, Paul Smith, Kate Spade, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Paul Smith.

To celebrate the launch of the site, the department store will offer free delivery on all orders made before December 14.

Consumers who create a David Jones Christmas Wishlist and share it with friends on Facebook will also go in the running to win one of ten $2000 prizes.

The Wishlist campaign will run until November 16.

David Jones group executive merchandise Donna Player said the platform has a premium end-to-end offer, with everything from site design and brand selection to luxe gift box packaging.
