Which Australian designer brand has ditched Myer for David Jones?

David Jones revealed today that it has entered into a department store exclusive agreement with contemporary Australian designer label Manning Cartell.

The move sees Manning Cartell switch to David Jones after six years with David Jones' department store rival, Myer.

According to the department store the Australian designer category has experienced an impressive year-to-date growth of 31.7 per cent.

Commenting on its latest addition, David Jones general manager womenswear Sophie Clark said it is a coup for the company.

“David Jones has a proud history of supporting Australian designers, and we are delighted to welcome Manning Cartell to our brand portfolio.

“The brand is an established and successful Australian label that we feel will further flourish at David Jones, and one that we are very excited to offer to our customers from the beginning of the spring/summer 2015 season.”

Manning Cartell was founded in 2005 by sister trio Cheryl, Vanessa and Gabrielle Manning, and has grown to become a leading brand in the Australian fashion sphere.
