Scandinavian watch and jewellery brand Daniel Wellington will take over the Blackwood Bondi cafe in Sydney’s east to drive the launch of its AW25 collection.

The takeover will run this week from August 13 to 16, and forms part of the brand’s ‘Moments that Matter’ campaign, in a bid to challenge burn out from dating apps and digital overload with real world connections. Daniel Wellington claims Sydney is the worst affected with dating app burnout.

“With Moments That Matter, we’re inviting Australians to slow down and reconnect – to create the kind of connections you can’t swipe for,” Daniel Wellington head of marketing Rebecka Jonsson said.

“We hope this pop-up inspires people to find joy in small, shared moments – whether it’s a first date, a friendship, or simply a chat with someone new.”

Early visitors to the cafe each day will be able to win free gifts and coffee as well as exclusive prizes “for those who truly connect.”

Guests can expect complimentary gifts from Daniel Wellington’s AW25 collection, inspired by quiet romance and understated luxury according to the brand. The range launches on August 15.

Hero pieces in the collection and gifts on offer include The Juliette, a watch featuring a narrow oval case, braided mesh straps and debossed White Sunray dial, and the Iconic 42 Chronograph, which has a ‘Panda’ dial.

The new range's price points are yet to be known, but the brand’s average watch prices sit around the $300 mark.
