Australian-born streetwear brand Culture Kings is set to open its new Culture Kings 2.0 concept store at Brisbane’s Queen Street Mall on December 17.

The new store is a return to its original home on Queen Street, and will act as a flagship space. The store will focus on experience-led retailing.

This includes hero brand zones that spotlight popular labels, best-sellers and fresh drops across streetwear, sneakers and accessories. There will also be next-generation fitting experiences that involve artificial intelligence alongside digital mannequins that help customers explore styles.

The store will also include a revised DJ experience, setting this up as a more immersive soundscape, and which allow customers to select their own soundtracks while they shop.

Culture Kings will mark the opening with a series of exclusive in-store activations from December 17 to December 21.

This includes a jumping activation, where customers jump to grab at around 400 tags suspended from a 4-metre-high ceiling for instant prizes.

The streetwear brand has also partnered with What’s Popping Co to offer the first 100 customers into the store each day during the four-day period a custom-flavour drink.

“At the core of Culture Kings is innovation,” the brand’s AU/NZ president Justin Hillberg said. “Our latest store sets a new benchmark in retail entertainment and represents the next evolution of the Culture Kings brand and shopping experience.

“Every detail has been considered through the lens of culture, community and experience. This store signals the next chapter for Culture Kings – where world-class retail meets entertainment at a scale that only we can deliver.”

The Brisbane store brings its Australia store portfolio to 9, with another in Auckland, New Zealand, and another in Las Vegas in the USA.

Culture Kings is owned by A.K.A. Brands in the USA, which also owns Princess Polly and Petal & Pup – two other Australian-born brands.
