Cue Clothing Company executive director Justin Levis has thanked his team for their flexibility this year, after being recognised as a stand-out business in Baptist World Aid's COVID Fashion Report.

The report delved into the response to COVID by 400 fashion brands and graded them on their performance in six key categories.

The report's aim was to recognise those that had continued to support and protect garment workers in their supply chain, as well as highlight those who needed further improvement.

Taking action when COVID-19 hit, Cue was recognised by the report as a 'best-case' example for its quick action in repurposing its Australian manufacturing facilities to create scrubs for St Vincent's Hospital Sydney when other garment production was on hold.

The business was also commended for its flexibility to change production quantities and adapt the fulfilment delivery dates of its garment production, with BWA indicating that these two actions helped to give its garment workers stability and employment through the pandemic.

Speaking on the recognition, Levis said that it wouldn't have been possible without cooperation and flexibility from the whole business.

"I am pleased that Cue has been commended in the 2020 special edition COVID Ethical Fashion Report.

"This recognition is a reflection of the strong relationships we have built with our supply chain partners over the past 25+ years.

"I’m proud of our Cue family for their flexibility and resilience during the most challenging year we have encountered as a business. Everyone has really pulled together!

"This year has been testament to our commitment and responsibility to protect our supply chain partners, without whom we couldn’t operate," he said.
