Australia’s retail community will acknowledge frontline heroes tomorrow with special offers to mark First Responders Day.
Specific offers include 20% off at Cue, Camilla, Best & Less and Sussan, while David Jones and Myer are also offering 10% off a range of in-store purchases.
Australian Retailers Association CEO Paul Zahra said First Responders Day is in its third year.
“Our First Responders are always there in times of crisis, bravely keeping us safe and we owe them an enormous debt of gratitude.
"This is our small way of saying ‘thanks’ to those who work on the frontlines, responding to emergencies and keeping people safe after another year marred by natural disasters and the ongoing Covid health crisis.
“Whether it’s the emergency services personnel, alongside community members, helping to rescue those stranded by the floods in northern NSW, or the doctors and nurses working around the clock caring for patients in overcrowded hospital wards, our First Responders are always there.
“More than a hundred retailers, representing thousands of stores across the country, have signed up to the campaign this year.
"From homewares and electronics to fashion, food and beauty products- no matter what our First Responders are interested in, there’s sure to be an offer to match.”
Offers are available only to Australian-based First Responders. They include medical and health workers, including doctors, nurses and paramedics, as well as ambulance staff, police personnel, firefighters, defence and border force personnel, SES, lifesavers and quarantine workers.
