Country Road revenue and earnings have soared on the back of its Witchery and Mimco acquisitions.

Total revenue for the financial year rose from $419 million to $706.3 million.

Earnings rocketed 155.6 per cent from $16.1 million to $41.15 million, from the addition of Witchery and Mimco stores’ earnings from October 2012.

Country Road made a profit of $41 million in the year to June 30, up from $16 million in the previous year.

Country Road and sister brand Trenery number at 71 retail stores, seven clearance stores and 93 concession stores in David Jones, Myer and Woolworths South Africa.

While the company acknowledged the tough retail climate, it expects further profit growth in the 2013/14 financial year.

Trading in the first two months of the year have already met expectations.
