With all the hype around the potential acquisition of Country Road, what are the people who first shaped the brand doing?
Jane Parker, the original creative director of Country Road, has released her second collection designed for Australian lifestyle brand Meredith.
The collection is part of an ongoing brand renewal, with more style-driven looks and colourways.
Parker said the range is inspired by the French seaside town of Deauville.
"Meredith is renowned for its quality knits and classic styling and we are excited to be able to build on this heritage and craft a Spring/Summer collection that is fresh, vibrant and easy to wear," she said.
Stand out pieces are the 'Coco Cardigan', a 100 per cent cotton cardigan which features a beaded trim, the ‘Deauville Sateen Blazer’ and Pant.
The stretch cotton suit, in navy and white, can be worn as a complete piece or pared back with a range of lightweight knits or silk tees.
Meredith will also launch its Occasional Collection, pieces for the festive season, followed by High Summer featuring soft sensual linens, colourful printed skirts, dresses and pants that all work back with Meredith’s lightweight summer knitwear.
Meredith’s Spring/Summer 2014 Collection comes in sizes XS to XL+ and is available in stores nationwide and online.
