The Retail Conference 2011 will hit Sydney next week armed with advice for retailers on how to retain market share and take advantage of the shifting retail landscape.

The one-day retail conference, one of eight industry-focused events available during CeBIT Australia 2011, will be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour on June 1 and is designed to help retailers identify and tackle the challenges and opportunities in retail today.

The agenda, which runs from 9am to 5pm, will include talks from guest speakers such as Ebay vice president Deborah Sharkey, The Body Shop national retail & VM manager Cathy Seaholme, Westfield director of business development Michelle Vanzella, Shoes of Prey founder and director of operations Michael Fox, and Australian Retailer's Association executive director Russell Zimmerman.

The speaker line-up also includes Cudo chief executive Billy Tucker, Woolworths Limited head of online Daniel Roberts, and Deals Direct head of marketing Elisha Booth who will be addressing the key focus of how to successfully adapt retail businesses to the e-commerce market.

Along with the talks, The Retail Conference 2011 will also provide a variety of case studies and panel discussions covering topics such as:

  • Maximising the opportunities given by the on-line world

  • Embracing and improving e-commerce strategies to increase sales

  • Finding new ways to attract and retain customers to grow market share

  • Displaying innovation to attract tech-savvy customers and enhance the service, delivery and value of your online channel
