Cotton On could be back in the court over an intellectual property dispute.

US designer Elektra Printz Gorski is reportedly set to pursue the retailer in the Federal Court for trademark and copyright infringement.

Gorski will allege it knocked off her trademarked brand Lettuce Turnip The Beet and the “look and feel” of her logo.

The slogan was reproduced in a line of Cotton On BODY t-shirts and TYPO home goods.

It is understood Gorski received a tip off the shirts were being sold in Cotton On stores across Australia and New Zealand.

This is not the first time Cotton On has been roped into a copyright and trademark dispute.

In 2008, Elwood successfully sued Cotton On for copyright infringement over a t-shirt design.
