Retail giant Cotton On Group has confirmed it is on the hunt to boost its executive team.

The company has revealed it is recruiting for a new global general manager for the Cotton On Body arm of the business.

The Cotton On Body global general manager will be expected to lead a team of 950 people across the globe and “take the brand to the next level, and beyond”.

Cotton On Body was launched by the group in 2007 to cater to the intimates apparel market, and now operates 105 stores across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa.

Cotton On Group recruitment manager Samantha Hogan said the group is looking for an “exceptional world-class leader who has general management experience”.

“The successful candidate as Cotton On Body global general manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of the Cotton On Body brand globally and will possess experience in change management and rapid global growth,” she said.

“With exceptional commercial judgement and pragmatic decision making, the new GM will also need an ability to identify and deliver world-class products at an affordable price. In short, we’re looking for the best of the best.

“The Cotton On Group is a very exciting place to be, and we are one hundred per cent focussed on finding exactly the right person for the role, wherever in the world they may be,” Hogan said.

Commenting on the search, Cotton On Group CEO Peter Johnson added that the appointment will help the company capitalise further on its existing global strategy.

“We invest heavily in ensuring we have world-class individuals leading our teams and living our values. Instrumental to the future success of Cotton On Body will be the appointment of a new visionary leader.

“The opportunity and challenge that exists for a new Cotton On Body general manager will be to drive the global strategy and lead a team of highly motivated and innovative thinkers who will set the benchmark for value and quality in the active, swim, intimates and sleep categories globally,” Johnson said.

“It’s a time of rapid growth and international expansion for Cotton On Body and the new global general manager will be instrumental in leading the Body team as a global fashion brand.”

The search comes in the midst of a period of intense international expansion for the Cotton On Group, which already has a presence in 17 countries via more than 1300 stores.
