A new development on the Gold Coast has commenced a search for retail tenants via appointment of Colliers International.
The $850 million “Soul” Gold Coast tower, by private property development company Juniper Group, is scheduled for completion before the end of the year and boasts a $120 million retail complex, along with more than 280 designer apartments and 77-levels.
Located on Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise, the development's retail complex runs 7,600sq and also features frontage to The Esplanade and the busy Cavill Mall, frequented by more than 10.5 million visitors annually.
Colliers International director of retail leasing, Lorraine Malloch, said the combination of these factors makes the development prime retail space, and the company was excited to have the opportunity to secure the right mix of tenants for Soul.
“There are about 15 prime tenancies remaining across the ground floor and level one of the development, which upon completion in late 2011, will be one of Queensland’s premier fashion and dining destinations,” she said.
“These tenancies are ideal for a variety of fashion outlets as well as stylish restaurants and alfresco dining outlets. There simply are no comparable retail leasing opportunities available on the Gold Coast.”
In her previous role, Ms Malloch was involved in leasing the existing mix of tenants, which includes flagship stores for a range of retailers such as Rip Curl, Roxy, Footlocker, Rush, Nine West and Hype DC.
