Clarks has teamed up with Minecraft to bring Australia's first-ever Minecraft school shoe to Aussie kids.

Minecraft is the most popular video game brand among Australian kids aged 7-14 years, and is the best-selling video game in history, with over 126 million unique monthly players and over 200 million copies sold worldwide.

In a deal brokered by Minecraft’s ANZ licensing agency, Merchantwise Licensing, the Clarks x Minecraft school shoe range comes in both lace and self-lacing options across a range of colourways including blush/navy, black, black/lime, and black/white.

Speaking on the range Merchantwise Licensing GM Kerryn McCormack said the range will be supported by five retail partners.

"As the most popular video game brand amongst Australian boys and girls 7-14 years, there is no doubt these Minecraft school shoes are going to be the must-have hot property for Australian and New Zealand kids returning to school this year.

"As the first ever Minecraft school shoe to be created, we are incredibly proud of this partnership which is being significantly supported by our wonderful local retailer partners, Clarks, Shoes and Sox, Myer, The Trybe and Hannahs," she said.

Minecraft details are found throughout the shoe including embossing on the Velcro strap, hidden printed characters on the sole and colourful innersoles.

Each pair also comes in a themed Minecraft box and contains a hidden Minecraft collectible toy.
