Direct Factory Outlets (DFO) across the country have joined forces to launch a fresh fashion-centric campaign.

Four DFO locations, in Essendon, Homebush, Moorabbin and South Wharf, are on the hunt for Australia’s most fashion savvy shopper to be crowned the 2013 Shopper of the Year in its largest campaign of the year to date.

The competition, which will close for entries this month, allows participants to enter the competition by visiting www.dfoshopperoftheyear.com.au by stating in 25 words or less why they think they are Australia’s best shopper.

By the end of May, entrants will be shortlisted to 200 finalists and asked to showcase their styling skills in centre to demonstrate their fashion flair.

The semi-final showdown will see finalist split between the four DFO locations and be given $200 and 45 minutes to style an outfit from a selection of over 100 big name brands.

Following the 45 minute shop-a-thon, each contestant will model their outfits to be judged by an esteemed panel of judges including a selection of Australia’s leading fashion editors and reigning Shopper of the Year 2012, Rebecca Mammarella.

Just two finalists will be selected from each event to progress into the finals, with the winner to then be selected by online public vote at www.dfoshopperoftheyear.com.au

The overall winner will be announced in August, and awarded the prestigious title DFO Shopper of the Year 2013, with a grand prize of $5,000.
