Witchery Group-owned accessories chain Mimco has launched a new campaign, and named a new face for the brand.
The season two 2012 campaign, titled Kaleidoscope Cinematopia, stars Australian model Jessica Gomes as the face of Mimco, showcasing five individual collections.
Each collection tells a story – starting in the 1920’s and moving through to the 1950’s and 1960’s as the season progresses – with both the campaign and product set to launch from next month.
The creative campaign was shot in Palm Springs at the luxe Parker Hotel by an all-Australian cast, including photographer James Geer and cinematographer Mandy Walker, with styling by Mimco creative and commercial director Cathryn Wills.
The campaign, which will run until December 2012, is a pastel toned kaleidoscope of moving and still imagery, rich in saturated colours and summer hues.
Commenting on the creative for fresh campaign Wills said she was inspired by the thought of a meeting between Pablo Picasso and Coco Chanel in 1920’s Paris.
“We are thrilled to announce Jess as the face of our Kaleidoscope Cinematopia campaign. The collection is eclectic, playful and sexy, making Jess the perfect choice for the campaign creative,” she said.
“For Kaleidoscope Cinematopia we played with juxtaposition with a nostalgic view in mind, focusing on the glamour of the deco 1920’s Charleston era, to the tuxedo days of the Ratpack in 1960’s Palm Springs.”
