Australian designer label Camilla has announced the launch of its most contemporary collection to date.

The Long Way Home features over 30% more silhouettes and styles that are more fitted than previous collections.

Camilla's decision to opt for a more contemporary position is due to continued online demand from international customers selecting fitted and ready-to-wear styles.

The brand is now offering bomber jackets, denim, knitted flares, ponchos, leather, knitwear, coats, tailored shirts and pants as well as our extensive range of dresses, kimonos, skirts and resort wear.

Camilla founder Camilla Franks said that while kaftans and resort wear will always feature in every collection, The Long Way Home marks a step forward for the brand and its growth in over 56 countries worldwide.

"Over the years we’ve expanded on our core, which is a canvas of silk and hand embellishment and brought variations in style, size and fabric catering to our tribe. We've introduced new silhouettes that are designed to embrace and celebrate the woman's form.

"My latest collection, The Long Way Home, features about 30% new pieces as well as a suite of new prints inspired by my travels and life-long love affair with India.

"We will always do resort wear and are excited to see the world embrace this new contemporary part of the collection.

"In order to answer the demands of the international market, we are now delivering the same global collection at the same time, all over the world. This means each collection features pieces for every season, every woman and every country around the world – we’re now catering for 56 countries around the world!”

The collection also tells the personal story of Franks, exploring her journeys throughout India, as well as revealing some of the more vulnerable moments in her life, such as the loss of her brother.

The collection was unveiled in mid-January, following a special pre-release dedication to Franks' brother Ben and is now available online.
