Camilla and Marc will launch a revamped online shopping experience this Thursday.

The move is in response to the rapidly evolving global environment.

The new platform aims to deliver a seamless customer experience and includes enhanced customer interaction and personalisation features.

Driven by the current pandemic, the website features a 'By Appointment' function which allows customers to virtually connect to a retail consultant for one on one personal styling, wardrobing and gifting advice while they shop from their homes.

The platform also comes equipped with additional features such as contactless same day delivery to adhere to social distancing guidelines, easy courier returns and Apple Pay for mobile shoppers to avoid the checkout altogether.

Camilla and Marc creative director Camilla Freeman-Topper said that the new capabilities help to meet the demand for meaningful connections in the current climate.

"At a time when the world is in lock down, creating highly relevant and meaningful communications powered by innovation is absolutely key.

"This is a time where our customers are looking for content that inspires, as well as practical real time solutions that will assist their styling and wardrobing needs," she said.

The site also has a more sophisticated search and merchandising tool which enables relevant products to surface for individual customers, ensuring a more personalised and relevant user experience.

Camilla and Marc CEO Marc Freeman said that the platform is centred around customer convenience.

"The new e-boutique brings our store experience to life in the digital world through innovation and a highly personalised experience.

"Our customers around the world can now have access to 24/7 shopping, in a rich brand environment that is built on convenience, first," he said.

As part of the rollout, the brand is also set to launch its 'Smart Store' digital concept which will evolve the role of the physical store into a digital environment with innovative engagement technology.

Through chat, video and live streaming, Camilla and Marc customers will soon receive the experience of a retail store, online.

Online shoppers will soon have a more advanced virtual personal shopping option to receive instant styling advice and inspiration when browsing by simply selecting an option to connect with Camilla and Marc stylists who will be located in an e-boutique environment.

Freedman added that the Smart Store concept helps to bridge the gap between physical and digital retail.

"Now, more than ever, customers are looking for online shopping that offers a convenient and seamless experience from the comfort of their living room.

"This new era of the brand is about building deeper customer connections at a time where it’s needed the most.

"Bridging the gap between the physical retail and online experience in a meaningful way is the future of online shopping and we are excited to be bringing this to our global customers," he said.

The launch of the new site follows growth in Europe, the UK and the US.

It has been designed to be scaled across multiple markets and can be adapted and localised to each market.

When stores open once again, the site will allow customers to look up product availability at a store closest to them.

Shopping on the website is now available in 23 countries worldwide.
