PVH, through The PVH Foundation, has announced US$10 million in funding over the new four years to global non-profit organisations.
PVH has operations across 40 countries and is the owner of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.
In Australia, PVH will invest a total US$200,000 USD in providing young people from low socio-economic backgrounds access to opportunities in the fashion industry.
Partnering with Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN), The PVH Foundation will work to support programming for high school students and training for individuals with 'non-traditional' backgrounds.
High school students from underserved and underrepresented communities will be provided opportunities to explore careers in fashion, develop technical skills and participate in mentorship programs.
Individuals from additional talent pipelines will also have access to the program, such as immigrants, those re-entering the workforce or seeking a career change and post-high school students who are not college graduates.
In partnership with ABCN, PVH will provide the following support:
- Over 800 students and career advisors directly mentored
- Up to 104,000 students across Australia reached through targeted awareness and resources around the Fashion Industry
- Offer 6 scholarships across 2 years: 3 students in 2022 intake to begin mentoring in 2023 (3 year mentoring program) and 3 students in 2023 intake to begin mentoring in 2024 (3 year mentoring program).
PVH CEO Stefan Larsson said the global funding program includes Australia, Brazil, Europe, Asia and North America.
“With driving fashion forward for good at the core of everything we do, our new partnerships will help PVH make a greater global impact in our communities," he said.
“As a company, we are committed to making a difference with inclusion and diversity, and we look forward to elevating the next generation of innovators around the world.”
PVH has rolled out a number of charitable initiatives in Australia previously, including a partnership with Save the Children.
