A British retail icon has announced it is rolling out down under.
Kurt Geiger concept boutiques will launch in seven David Jones stores nationally from this month.
The stores will roll out across Elizabeth Street (NSW), Bondi Junction (NSW), Chatswood (NSW), Bourke Street Mall (VIC), Chadstone (VIC), QueensPlaza (QLD) and Adelaide.
Further expansion to additional stores within the David Jones store portfolio is scheduled to take place in late 2014.
The sites, which will include accessory line 'Everything But The Dress', will commence rolling out this month.
Kurt Geiger first opened in Britain’s fashion capital on Bond Street, London in 1963.
David Jones group executive of merchandise Donna Player said the launch will be on a department store exclusive basis.
"Our customers have embraced our designer footwear offer and we have seen exceptional growth
in this business in recent years.
"As a result we have continued to expand our offer by adding new national and international brands.
Kurt Geiger London, KG Kurt Geiger and Carvela join other recent additions to the David Jones designer footwear offer.
These include Brian Atwood, Nicholas Kirkwood, Charlotte Olympia, Sophia Webster, Stuart
Weitzman and Pierre Hardy.
