Brendan Sweeney and Teresa Rendo, the recent executive leads of Catch and the Apparel Brands that Myer recently took on, have both been appointed to the board of Good360 Australia.

Good360 is a not-for-profit online marketplace for charities and disadvantaged schools. Since 2015, the NFP has redirected more than 44 million items donated by retailers to people in need, via a network of over 4,800 charities and disadvantaged schools across Australia.

According to the NFP, both Sweeney and Teresa will bring extensive retail, digital and leadership experience to its board.

Sweeney has over 20 years of retail experience, most recently serving as the managing director of Catch. His prior roles include leading digital and loyalty for the Coles Group and Cotton On Group.

He has also held board positions in private equity-owned retailers, ASX subsidiaries and start-up businesses in Australia and the UK.

Sweeney said he is looking forward to working with the Good360 team and its board to figure out how to scale the charity’s operations, reduce waste and help more people in need.

“Australia is one of the wealthiest countries in the world, yet so many people are struggling to afford the essentials,” Sweeney said. “On one side there’s a glut of unsold products, and on the other, people are going without. It just makes sense to bridge that gap.”

Rendo, meanwhile, has a retail career spanning 25 years, predominantly under Woolworths Group where she worked across both Woolworths Supermarkets and the company’s department store subsidiary Big W.

She then led the Apparel Brands – Just Jeans, Jay Jays, Jacqui E, Dotti and Portmans – which was originally under Solomon Lew’s company Premier Investments, which also manages Peter Alexander and Smiggle. Apparel Brands has also been known as the Just Group.

Rendo then helped oversee the merging of Apparel Brands under Myer operations following a deal struck between Lew and the premium department store. Rendo announced her exit from the role last month, effective in early 2026.

Speaking on her new role at Good360, Rendo said her aim is to help the NFP reach its full potential.

“The thing that really excites me is how we can connect more of the right products to the right charities, at the right time, so they can focus on their purpose and their communities,” Rendo said. “By doing this we can help take some pressure out of the system and deliver even greater impact.

“I’m excited to bring my skills and experience to the team, including more of a business mindset, to support the continued growth and success of Good360. Every business, no matter its size, can make being more efficient and sustainable, and giving back to the community, a pillar of their strategy. It’s good for the environment, good for teams and businesses, and good for communities.”
