Over 60 brands including Nobody, Song for the Mute and Chronicles of Never have committed to take part in new industry trade fair The Wearer's Right.
The trade show will be held in Sydney from September 18 to 20 and currently 66 labels from both Australia and overseas have signed on to exhibit.
In the 'high-end contemporary brands category', Chronicles of Never will be joined by other menswear labels including Song for the Mute, Vanishing Elephant, The Academee Brand and Autonomy. Exhibitors in contemporary womenswear will include Obüs, Indigo, Livia Arena, Lilya and Cashmere Crush.
In the denim category labels such as Nobody and Neuw will exhibit alongside streetwear players including Vanguard and Stussy.
The international exhibitor list is thus far dominated by New Zealand names including Nom*D, Stolen Girlfriends Club and Commoners Alike. Other foreign brands taking part include Swedish women's label Rules by Mary and US eyewear brand Moscot.
Accessories businesses including bespoke shoemaker Andrew McDonald, watch brand Taega, unisex accessory supplier Alan Myerson and footwear brand The Horse will complement the apparel offering.
The Wearer's Right is an initiative of experienced event co-ordinator Thibaud Cau-Cecile, who founded and operated homewares trade fair Life InStyle prior to selling the business in 2010. In addition to its trade fair component, The Wearer's Right also incorporates a blog with further information set to go live in July.
Buyer registrations for The Wearer's Right will open in July, and the event will be held in Sydney's Hordern Pavilion, Moore Park.
