Iconic underwear brand Bonds has extended its partnership with female ambassador Rachael Taylor, handing her directing rights for its latest campaign.
Bonds has rolled out a series of light-hearted short films directed by ambassador and actress Rachael Taylor.
Set in New York, the series shows Taylor having an awkward conversation with a potential love interest who doesn't understand Australian phrases such as "undies" and "trackies".
The first instalment in the three-part Bonds Love Story - Lost in Translation series is on the brand's YouTube channel.
Dressed head-to-toe in Bonds attire, Taylor runs into her man of the moment on the street.
After complimenting her on her appearance, she self-deprecatingly replies that she's "practically in her undies".
Confusion ensues, as he says Americans call them "panties", which he admits is a "creepy word".
He then asks about her "sweats" to which she replies "...Oh, you mean trackies".
Awkwardness is heightened when she says she "sweats mainly through her face [...] but not in a gross way. What I'm trying to say is I don't sweat through, like, the lower, underneath parts."
The banter continues for two minutes, including whether a jumper should be called "sweater" or "sloppy joe".
