Liberty, Debenhams and Marks & Spencer are among the 150-plus international retailers that have signed up to be part of a new Australian-owned online shopping site.
ClubQT.com.au went live this month and grants Australian shoppers access to international labels and stores in the one online location. CEO of ClubQT Mandy Sigaloff said the site differs from other online stores by displaying only garments that are guaranteed to be able to be shipped to Australia. It is also structured to show prices in Australian dollars and allow easy price comparisons.
Sigaloff added the site was already exceeding its goal of a two per cent customer conversion rate following the launch of its search engine optimisation campaign this month.
“It's obvious Aussie fashionistas have been waiting for a way to buy the latest in international fashion without having to pay a fortune for it or grab their passports,” Sigaloff said.
“Our goal is to attract 10,000 shoppers in the next six months.”
ClubQT will launch its 'above the line' marketing campaign in April, with other elements of the site also set to go live that month. These include a ClubQT 'fitting room', where users can send clothes to style outfits, review the cost of outfits and even upload a picture of themselves.
Also set to be incorporated into ClubQT from April is a 'High Street' function, where users can save their favourite international labels for easy revisiting, and a widget that will allow users to buy garments from e-tailers that are not currently part of the ClubQT portfolio.
“It's not a closed wall site,” Sigaloff explained.
She added that ClubQT's 'one stop shop' features were developed in the wake of a research campaign with 1000 Australian female online shoppers, with sister ClubQT sites to launch for the US and UK markets from June.
“We're hoping to get more Australian retailers on board,” Sigaloff said.
There are currently 300,000 fashion and beauty items available on ClubQT.com.au across the men's, women's, kid's and 'eco' categories. Retailers who are already part of the site include Asos, Lipsy, Dorothy Perkins and American Apparel.
CLARIFICATION: While Karen Millen is among the brands listed on ClubQT, the label does not currently ship to Australia.
