A leading Australian retailer is after its share of a multi-billion dollar market.
Activewear giant Lorna Jane has launched a new range 'Uniquely' to hit stores later this month.
Uniquely is an extension of the Lorna Jane mainline, providing a more fashion forward range of activewear.
The new range will expand on Lorna Jane’s high performance fabrics to include metallics, vegan leather, faux fur, quilting and embellished pieces.
Founder Lorna-Jane Clarkson said the move was inspired by women's changing shopping patterns.
"Activewear is no longer confined to formal exercise, but has become a fashion staple for modern
women that want their wardrobe to connect with their lifestyle," she said.
According to Boston-based research firm Trefis, the global sports apparel market, which includes women’s activewear, is set to grow to $178 billion by 2019.
The Uniquely range will commence with a 24-piece collection which will be available from late March at selected David Jones and Lorna Jane stores nationally.
Celebrated photographer Steven Chee shot the Uniquely campaign which was styled by Naomi Smith and referenced 80s sport-luxe.
Lorna Jane operates 155 stores globally.
