Big W has taken the latest step in ramping up its apparel offering, launching an exclusive PlayStation range into stores and online.
The new PlayStation apparel launch also follows the news that Aussies are desperately trying to get their hands on the new PlayStation Five console which according to The Verge, has been "nearly impossible to buy since its launch back in November."
The exclusive Big W range spans hoodies, trackies, short and long-sleeve tees and sleepwear.
It was developed by Melbourne-based licensed apparel company Caprice and was created to connect with Australian gaming fans.
According to data from Roy Morgan, 2.9 million Australians had a PS4 at home in 2018, CEO Michele Levine said.
"Sony PlayStation 4 is clearly the preferred video game console of this current generation.
"Part of the appeal of these video game consoles is they aren’t strictly used for video games – they also make excellent media hubs for streaming giants like Netflix, Stan, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Foxtel, and more," she said.
Helping to boost the visibility of the new PlayStation range, Australian cosplayer Laura Gilbert will give a shout out about the range to her 350,000 followers across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
The Big W PlayStation range is available now and retails for between $9 and $30.
