Big W has secured a range of over 60 products designed by Australian children’s entertainer Emma Watkins and The Walt Disney Company.
The range is currently stocked online and in-store and includes apparel and accessories featuring Disney characters from The Lion King and Bambi, alongside a range of baby essentials and adult sleepwear.
The collaboration was sparked by an email from Disney to Emma’s production company Apricot Sea, which incorporates her and her entertainment character Emma Memma.
Disney, Big W and Emma Watkins then spent a year designing the range.
“Teaming up with Disney to co-curate this range for Big W is a dream come true,” Watkins said. “It has been such a joy to revisit my favourite childhood stories and rediscover the Disney magic I grew up with.
“These beloved Disney characters, which many Aussie families know and adore, have inspired this range which has been designed with practicality, quality and value in mind for families to wear and enjoy, combined with the endearing legacy of Disney characters we all know and love.”
The range was designed to coincide with Big W’s Bub & Me Event- a promotional event for the retailer’s baby products.
Big W head of commercial - clothing and baby squad, Lowi Breed said the event is popular among shoppers looking at access baby essentials at affordable prices.
“As we look to bring magic into the homes of families, the new Disney range design by Emma Watkins is sure to delight families and their little ones.”
The Bub & Me Event will run until February 14.
Big W operates 177 stores nationally, and employs over 19,000 members across Australia, Hong Kong and Bangladesh.
