New Zealand jewellers Michael Hill has revealed plans to open more than 60 new stores.
In its annual meeting report released today, the business, which has 52 stores in its home country, 146 in Australia, 33 in Canada and 12 in America, announced its future plans for expansion.
By 2013/14 the company, which manufactures and retails fine jewellery, hopes to open three more stores in New Zealand, 29 in Australia and 30 in North America.
A total of 180 possible store locations have been identified across Australia and 100 sites have been found in North America. The new stores will be phased in over the next two to three years
In the first three month trading period to September 30 2011, the listed retailer reported a 6.5 per cent increase in revenue from sale of goods across all stores.
