Bettina Liano trade creditors have spoken of their grief at receiving little to no return from her comeback, after the designer hit the publicity trail to announce her new venture with Apparel Group.
The eponymous designer label was placed into administration in July, leaving a number of suppliers in the lurch.
It has since been handed back to director Liano, who has announced a supply deal with respected fashion firm Apparel Group.
A register obtained by Ragtrader from a creditor's meeting on March 8 revealed unsecured claims of over $3.3 million as well as $2.3 million to secured creditor ANZ.
Among the suppliers burnt is Stockade Leather owner Peter Wallis, who worked with Liano for almost eight years crafting belts for her creations.
He received just 10 per cent of what he was owed.
"The banks were looked after and as usual, everybody else got screwed," he said.
"We need commercial laws to stop this from happening again and again."
