Best & Less is set to reclaim its namesake branding, with reduced prices and a 100-day money back guarantee across its entire range.
The move is set to intensify competition in the discount department store category.
Best & Less will implement the price drops across 195 stores from March 6, with key ranges slated for discounting.
Backed by global retailer Steinhoff, Best & Less will leverage its global buying power to initiate the price deflation.
This will coincide with the release of a new line of $3 kids cotton tees.
Best & Less chief Rod Orrock said the move acknowledges families feeling financially squeezed.
“Market research told us Aussie families today feel forced to choose between quality and price when it comes to clothing.
"For over fifty years we’ve offered the best quality at great prices, so now we’re making those prices even better with lower prices every day and backing them with a 100 day money back guarantee.
"We encourage customers who may have not visited us before to take a look next time they walk past a store and see what we’re all about."
Each product is reportedly quality tested against stretching, shrinking and pilling, as well as after-wash durability and wear.
