Fashion Revolution has announced the Australian launch screening of documentary The True Cost.
The film aims to address critical issues facing the garment industry including labour rights and environmental costs.
An industry panel discussion facilitated by Fashion Revolution Australia and New Zealand co-ordinator Melinda Tually will follow the screening.
Tually will be joined by KITX founder and designer Kit Willow, David Jones ethical sourcing manager Jaana Quaintance James and Australian Fashion Report, Baptist World Aid co-author Gershon Nimbalker to dicuss how the Australian garment industry will move forward after the Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh.
All profits raised from the event will be donated to to The Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed in Bangladesh (CPR).
The True Cost launch will take place at Dendy Opera Quays in Sydney on Friday 29th May.
Tickets cost $35 for adults and $25 for students.
