Cotton On subsidiary Typo will launch into the United Kingdom in March.

Initially launching as an online destination at Typo.com, the retailer is planning to follow up with stores opening within the UK.

The launch takes Typo into its twelfth country.

Typo offers a broad range of categories including gift, stationery, homewares, art and craft projects and tech and travel accessories.

Typo creative manager Luke Slattery said the opening is due to strong demand from the European market.

"We aren’t your typical gift retailer.

"We're a bit irreverent, a bit naughty and we always put our Typo twist on our products, pushing the boundaries of design that we know will resonate well with our UK customers so they can personalise their space whether they are at home, at work or on the move.

"We already have a significant number of UK customers within a loyal legion of global followers who live and breathe the Typo brand and that shop on our international Typo websites, so we have a good indication of what the market will want."

In the lead up to launch, Typo will operate from their distribution centre in Kent.

It will be lead by a UK logistics manager who will join over 2,100 Typo team members currently employed across 12 countries.

As with all international regions Typo operates in, product development, trend forecasting, buying and campaigns will be lead from the head office in Geelong, Australia.
