New research has revealed a global rise in demand for Australian high fashion and lifestyle products.

The increase was reported by Logwin, a global leader in air and ocean freight and logistics services.

The company said it has observed significant growth in the Australian high fashion and lifestyle sector in the lead-up to events such as the L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF).

Commenting on the rising demand, Logwin country director Thomas Kilian said events such as LMFF have helped spur the sector on.

“LMFF has expanded its program each year and is a good barometer of the health of the Australian fashion industry. We are seeing significant growth in demand for local designer fashion and lifestyle goods not only from domestic consumers but also across Asia and around the world. Logwin is very proud to support LMFF,” Kilian said.

As previously reported on ragtrader.com.au, LMFF recently selected Logwin as its official international logistics partner for the 2013 event.

Tailored to the fashion and lifestyle sector, Logwin provides specialised logistics services and product-handling requirements for the industry.

In 2011, the company also launched Red Carpet Logistics (RCL), a premium fashion-and-lifestyle-specific service, to meet the growing demand for complex product-handling requirements from its high-end fashion and lifestyle customers.

The company also recently opened a 4,000 square metre warehouse in Sydney, providing three levels of fully enclosed and a dust-free environment, multiple pick-and-pack and high bay racking locations, and 24-hour CCTV Surveillance.

The warehouse also holds a separate, dedicated space for fashion and lifestyle products which consists of garments on hangers (GOH) and flat-packed storage areas, and small pick-face locations to cater for the very special and demanding needs of Logwin’s fashion and lifestyle customers.

LMFF will run from March 18 to 24.
