Aussie retailers hit the world stage

Australian companies Myer, Shoes of Prey and Stylerunner have been shortlisted for this year's World Retail Awards to be held in Dubai next month.

Department store Myer will be in the running to win 'Best Holiday Season Advertising Campaign' against the likes of Burberry, John Lewis and Macy's.

Shoes of Prey has been nominated in the category for 'The Rodney Fitch Award for Innovation and Creativity' alongside other competitors including menswear etailer Mr Porter.

Stylerunner has been put forth for 'Young Retail Entrepreneur of the Year'.

It follows on from the announcement that Australian retail powerbroker Solomon Lew will be inducted into the World Retail Hall of Fame at this year's Congress.

Winners will be announced at the awards on April 14.
