A GoFundMe page supporting the recovery of recently attacked Sydney event photographer Chloe Paul is amassing hundreds of donations, including some from leading Australian fashion designers.
Last week, a man entered mother-of-three Paul’s apartment and brutally attacked her. Police alleged the man was Dr Steven Lin, who was shot dead a while later after Paul’s attack.
Paul is believed to still be in hospital recovering from injuries.
Since her attack, a GoFundMe page has been launched, with donations flooding in. More than $70,000 has been raised so far, nearing its $90,000 target, with organisers saying the funds will support Paul during a period of non-earning, as well as cleaning up and fixing her apartment which was damaged during the attack and replacing her phone which she had to surrender to police as part of their investigation.
In recent days, leading designers such as Rebecca Vallance-Gasan, Nicky Apostolopoulos and Gemma Chua-Tran have donated to the cause, alongside a raft of fashion influencers and creatives.
Internationally renowned fashion photographer Lachlan Bailey and Dinosaur Designs co-founder Stephen Ormandy also donated, alongside a raft of major media personalities such as Sunrise presenter Edwina Bartholomew and long-running television presenter Richard Wilkins.
As well as event photography, including a raft of major fashion events across Sydney, Paul is also a celebrity photographer.
