Australian biomaterials firm Nanollose has confirmed that non-executive director Heidi Beatty has tendered her resignation from the board, effective April 1, 2026.

Beatty joined the Nanollose board in 2019. She is a scientist and innovator who has 20 years of experience developing consumer and healthcare products, and is the founder of the consultancy firm Crown Abbey. According to Beatty, she is stepping back to focus on her growing commitments at Crown Abbey.

During her six-year tenure, Nanollose has undertaken several pilots covering the textile space, including its patented tree-free lyocel fibre Nullarbor, which has been used in the production of garments.

The company is also attempting to scale in the production of lab-produced wet wipes and an alternative seed germination and plant growing material called Jelli Grow.

Following Beatty's resignation, the board said it is considering its current composition with a view to ensuring it has the appropriate skills and experience to support Nanollose's near-term commercial objectives. A further update is expected to be provided in due course.

"On behalf of the board and management, I want to thank Heidi for her time and contribution to Nanollose,” Nanollose CEO and managing director Andrew Moullin said. “I have appreciated her support, and we all wish her well.

“As we move into an exciting phase of commercial development, we are focused on ensuring our board composition reflects the company's ambitions, and we look forward to updating shareholders on that process."
