Assembly Label will extend its popular Re-Worn program to its eCommerce channel, allowing customers to send back pre-loved pieces to be cycled back in for purchase.

The Re-Worn pilot program launched in November 2021 with the first capsule collection of pre-loved Assembly Label pieces.

The collection sold out within the first few weeks at the brand's Fitzroy store, driving the brand to continue the initiative.

Now, Assembly Label has launched the second capsule collection of Re-Worn pieces, which for the first time is also available to shop online.

The capsule collection comes in strictly limited numbers and includes a selection of core basics including denim, tees, linen pieces and knitwear from past seasons.

All of these pieces were returned by the previous owners through the Re-Worn program and have been carefully laundered and repaired.

Assembly Label CEO Lee Thompson said the brand is proud to support the circular economy with its Re-Worn program.

"Re-Worn was inspired by some of the incredible circular practices and resource recovery work that we’ve seen achieved internationally.

"Last year, our program was successfully brought to life by our hardworking team and we are thrilled to announce that we are now expanding the offering to our online store, reaching all of our customers across Australia.

"The response and ongoing demand for this initiative from our community has been overwhelmingly positive, and our Fitzroy pilot last year has given us the confidence to keep building on this offering," he said.

Anything returned to Assembly Label that is deemed beyond repair is given to recycling partner SCR Group, which sorts all items between charities and recycling facilities.

All items that cannot be sold through the charity network are sent to the Australian-owned partner facility in Malaysia, where the articles are recycled into rags or converted into biofuels.

In addition to shopping the Re-Worn collection online, customers can also get complementary shipping to return pre-loved Assembly Label items.

Re-Worn can be shopped in-store at Assembly Label Fitzroy and online from April 14.
