Australian shoe designer Paul Waddy has started 2012 with a bang as his footwear label is head-hunted by e-tail giant ASOS.
The Antoine & Stanley men's range is dropping into the ASOS fashion hub from mid to late February and Waddy is hoping the global exposure will secure him a bulk order in time for the autumn/winter season.
Waddy, who said this is a 'great leap forward' for the brand, said the well known online shopping site is trialling nine styles in the current range, including the label's best selling suede brogues, loafers and boots.
“I hope this will also drive people to our website to check out what else we offer and I think we will see a substantial rise in the number of hits on our website,” Waddy said. “It won’t affect our sales online, as the majority of ASOS customers are UK based, but it will expand our brand exposure immeasurably.”
