Global outdoor-wear retailer Arc'teryx has opened its second Alpha Store in Australia at Chadstone Shopping Centre, just weeks after launching the format at Sydney's Queen Victoria Building.
The Chadstone flagship marks Melbourne's first Arc'teryx Alpha Store, which brings together the brand's full expression across technical product, innovation, craftsmanship and community.
Ranges include trail running, hiking, climbing, snow sports and everyday technical apparel, alongside footwear, accessories and packs.
The store also houses the largest Arc'teryx ReBIRD™ Service Centre in the Southern Hemisphere, offering technical cleaning, reproofing and repair services under the brand's circularity program, as well as the largest dedicated Veilance retail environment across Australia and New Zealand.
Veilance, according to the brand, is destination for customer seeking the intersection of technical performance, minimalist design and elevated everyday apparel.
Arc'teryx ANZ country director Bianca Bernardi said Victoria's outdoor community was central to the decision to expand the Alpha Store format to Melbourne.
"Victoria has one of Australia's most passionate outdoor communities, with strong participation across climbing, trail running, hiking and snow sports," Bernardi said. "This store has been designed to create a space where guests can engage more deeply with our products, our values and the wider Arc'teryx community."
The store was opened last weekend, which included showcasing more than $65,000 worth of product to the Melbourne community across opening weekend, including its Alpha SV Jacket, Beta Jacket and Veilance apparel, with select guests being in the running to win back their entire purchase.
Arc’Teryx also allowed guests to bring in a pre-loved beanie and exchange it for one of the brand’s Bird Head Toques.
Arc'teryx operates 10 stores across Australia, including three around Sydney, four around Melborune, one in Canberra, one in Hobart and another in Adelaide. The brand is managed under Amer Sports, the company that also manages Salomon.
