The parent company of Saba, Sportscraft and Willow is set to debut some digital game changers.

Apparel Group has replaced its e-commerce platform in a bid to maximise online sales within a tough retail environment.

Apparel Group general manager for emerging technology Peter Ratcliffe said the new platform will deliver greater integrated website optimisation and e-commerce solutions.

"We wanted to achieve a truly seamless experience for our customers between bricks and mortar and online.

"Apparel Group's online success is a key strategic lever in a very challenging Australian retail market.

"To this end, a significant investment in the digital channel has been a key strategy for our business."

Apparel Group e-commerce supplier Amblique will now implement Demandware sites for Sportscraft and Saba.

This will see the introduction of a single platform, easily upgradeable and a hosted solution; enable buy anytime, anywhere, anyhow capabilities for customers and drive scalability, availability and system uptime.

Ratcliff said a number of digital innovations are in the pipeline, including Click and Collect, Store to Door and seamless inventory solutions to allow new ways of shopping for consumers.
