Womenswear brand Anthea Crawford is marking 50 years of business with the launch of its first dedicated extended size offering.

The new range expands the brand's signature occasionwear offering up to a size 22.

Rolling out across the Spring/Summer season, the new range will be available online and in selected Myer and David Jones stores nationwide. According to the brand, this represents one of the brand's most significant product expansions in its five-decade history.

The decision comes after years of customer feedback calling for greater size inclusivity, with Anthea Crawford investing in an entirely redesigned fit process to ensure the collection delivers the same premium tailoring the label has been known for since 1976.

Rather than simply scaling up existing garments, each style has undergone extensive grading, multiple fit sessions and design refinement.

Launching with some of the brand's core occasionwear styles, the collection includes the Hebe and Sasha gowns, the Alina and Theresa dresses, sequin eveningwear and silk shrugs.

Crafted in Anthea Crawford's jersey, sequins and scuba crepe, the range launches in colourways such as black and navy before expanding into seasonal colourways throughout Spring/Summer.

"This felt like the right moment to invest in making the brand accessible to more Australian women,” an Anthea Crawford spokesperson said. “Every woman deserves to feel confident and beautifully dressed for life's special occasions, and it was important that we achieved this without compromising the exceptional fit, quality and craftsmanship we're known for."

This size extension is set to continue, with further styles and categories planned to be overhauled.
