Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF) has revealed Diesel artistic director Nicola Formichetti as the next international guest attending its 2016 event.
Formichetti will join Diesel founder Renzo Rosso in Australia who will headline the VAMFF business events program.
During his career, Formichetti has gained extensive industry experience with major international brands including Dazed & Confused, French fashion house Mugler and has held a position as Uniqlo fashion director since 2010.
VAMFF CEO Graeme Lewsey believes Formichetti's attendance is a big win for the local industry.
“We are thrilled to announce that Nicola Formichetti will be attending the festival as a guest of the esteemed 'Business Seminar' and a keynote presenter at the 'Marketing Breakfast'.
“Nicola, infamous for his ability to engage effortlessly with millenial consumers, is one of the hottest creative directors right now.”
The business events program will be staged at Crown Resort with a range of international and local industry speakers.
The Festival will run from March 7-13 in 2016.
