Australian womenswear label Anna Quan is making a move into the bridal market.

The Bridal Edit was unveiled alongside the brand’s current SS22 collection at Afterpay’s Future of Fashion, a consumer focussed event during Afterpay Australian Fashion Week.

Designer Anna Hoang said the venture is in response to customer feedback.

“Over the years, many brides have reached out to let me know that they have worn my pieces on their
special day,” she said.

“It was never my intent to become a bridal designer, but I’m thrilled that select designs have resonated with brides. They have inspired this very special edit.”

Showcased in classic ivory, the new pieces are crafted in 100% hammered viscose or cotton jacquard.

Key silhouettes include strapless column, empire line, and scoop neck pieces.

“The design process was influenced by the considered ‘movement’ and ‘drape’ for each piece,” Hoang said.

“Crucial considerations, as these elements are heightened during the ceremony’s most magical moment –
when the bride walks down the aisle.”

Prices for the range start at $340 for a sleeveless wrap front top to $850 for pre-order gowns.
