Amazon’s annual shopping event Prime Day is set to come to Australia, commencing July 16.
Prime Day will last 36 hours, with a number of deals exclusively available for Prime members on amazon.com.au.
Australia will be the first country to kick off Prime Day, with members here the first to access deals on fashion, electronics, books, homewares and everyday essentials.
Australians will be offered Prime membership at the introductory price of AU$4.99 or can start a 30-day free trial at amazon.com.au/prime to participate in Prime Day.
Amazon launched Prime in Australia on June 19, offering free two business day delivery on domestic Prime eligible products to nearly 90 per cent of Australians.
Prime members in Australia will also have access to more than eight million products from Amazon US sold directly on amazon.com.au.
They will also be eligible for free international delivery on orders over AU$49.
Prime is utlised by more than 100 million paid members around the world, Amazon Australia country manager Rocco Braeuniger confirmed.
