Amazon has already claimed its space in the Australian retail scene.
It has announced that department store Myer will now be an official retailer of Amazon Kindle products.
The products will be offered online and in store.
Amazon Device Sales director Scott Harrington said he is thrilled with the move.
“We are thrilled to announce our program with Myer, a true icon of Australian retailing.
“We want to help make it as easy as possible for Australian’s to delve into a good story.
"Now that Australian’s can shop for Kindle e-readers and accessories at Myer, we’re one step closer to that goal.”
Myer will stock a selection of Kindle e-readers including the Kindle Voyage, which features a flush glass front, magnesium back and adaptive light.
The Kindle Paperwhite features a high resolution display and an adjustable front light,
