Amazon is on a national recruiting blitz.
The online retail giant has flooded its jobs page with roles across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
The recruitment drive comes as domestic retailers set up task forces to deal with the impending threat.
It is understood Amazon plans to open local warehouses in September, with a Sydney head office already in operation.
The roles advertised span supply chain, marketing, solutions architects, businesss development managers and HR specialists.
In what could be a relief for apparel, footwear and accessories vendors, grocery venture Amazon Fresh seems to be the core strategic focus.
The venture is set to disrupt grocery and supermarket retailing, with same-day delivery of produce and goods.
