Global online marketplace AliExpress has rolled out its first-ever ‘Price Match Guarantee’ in Australia, ahead of its Winter Sale and amid current cost-of-living challenges.

The new guarantee means customers who find a lower price on eligible items elsewhere can get a refund of the difference from AliExpress.

AliExpress sells a wide range of goods across fashion, accessories, homewares and electronics.

AliExpress ANZ country manager Alfy Zhang said the rollout comes as cost-of-living pressures continue to challenge consumers.

“This guarantee gives Australian shoppers the confidence and peace of mind that they’re always getting the best deal with us, helping stretch every dollar further when it matters most.”

AliExpress added that this initiative reflects broader consumer trends, with Australians increasingly focused on price transparency, seasonal value and maximising their budgets.

The Price Match Guarantee applies to eligible products marked with the dedicated logo and allows comparisons against other key platforms, including Amazon, Kmart, Kogan and Bunnings.

To claim a refund under the ‘Price Match Guarantee’, customers can submit a request via their AliExpress account by navigating to ‘My Orders’, selecting the relevant order, then choosing ‘Order Services’ and ‘Best Price Guarantee’ before applying.

Once the lower price is verified, the difference is refunded directly to the customer.

AliExpress is an online retail service based in China and owned by the Alibaba Group. Launched in 2010, it is made up of small businesses in China and other locations, such as Singapore, that offer products to international online buyers.
