Macquarie Centre has successfully defended a campaign featuring Alice McCall.
The shopping destination has fielded complaints over its Face Of Fashion autumn/winter campaign.
The creative will be displayed at the centre from April 1 to June 30.
The centre defended the poster in a case before the Advertising Standards Board.
A complainant described the creative, featuring a model in a white Alice McCall dress, as "disappointing" and "disturbing".
"If she is 16 I would be surprised and ask that the public be surveyed and see if they believe her age to be 16 years or older," the complainant alleged in a letter to the Board.
"Perception is everything.
"I find the sexualisation of children offensive as it encourages paedophilic responses.
"She is also underweight and this has been proven to promote eating disorders in young women."
However, the centre confirmed the model is 19-year-old Mathilda Tolvanen.
It also confirmed the featured dress is cut to standard Australian sizing.
The Board ruled it did not breach any advertising codes and dismissed the case.
