Milliner Ann Shoebridge has partnered with Australian fashion designer Alex Perry to create a range of custom-design headpieces.
An spring racing initiative launched by Myer, the instalment has set out to invite local milliners to design headwear to accompany designer dresses.
The range incorporates textural features made from lace and leather with a strong focus on creating a balance between colours and lines.
Shoebridge said that traditional techniques were employed in the design of the headpieces.
“For me, a great race outfit is a mix of classic tailoring with a bold twist in accessorising.”
Shoebridge's millinery collection is currently showing at the National Gallery of Victoria and has featured in recent exhibitions such as the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation in Sydney.
The Ann Shoebridge x Alex Perry range is available to purchase exclusively at Myer.
