Australian designer Akira Isogawa will return to Australia from his showroom in Paris next month to showcase his latest collection as part of the Strand Arcade’s Designer Series.
The event, on October 18, will take the Designer Series from lunch to dinner for the first time and will see Isogawa present his Resort 12 collection, with guests seated around a runway on the ground floor for the show.
Isogawa will present around 20 looks inspired by contemporary Japanese aesthetic from the collection, which is available in store at the Strand Arcade from October.
The designer, who last showcased his collections in Australia in 2008 with IMG, said he is looking forward to the event and showcasing his latest looks.
“I am looking forward to meeting the guests who attend the dinner. I will appreciate receiving their reaction, first hand, to my new collection,” Isogawa said.
Only 150 tickets at $175 at per person will be sold for the exclusive Designer Series dinner, with the three course menu to be designed by chef David Allison, and all guests to receive an exclusive “Akira for Shiseido” bag among other gifts.
The Strand Arcade’s Designer Series was created as an initiative to allow fashion fans to meet their favourite Australian designers at “the home of Australian designers”, and view their latest designs.
